Roughly one-third of the auction’s lots have budget-friendly minimum bids of $25 or less, including a full ticket to The Beatles’ first full-length motion picture, “A Hard Day’s Night.” The ticket features a blue and black Beatles figure die-cut on the left side. Minimum bid: $25.
All of the lots carrying large minimum bids are artwork, including a sculpture by artist C. Brown of Bruce Springsteen. The museum-quality, original bonded bronze sculpture, which is mounted on black alabaster, captures the music icon in his onstage glory. Minimum bid: $2,700.
On the instrument front is a rare red and white Fender Squier guitar signed by Chuck Berry. This item is rare because Berry normally doesn’t sign guitars. Minimum bid: $300.
A set of metal chimes used in concert by Yes percussionist Alan White also is on the block. The custom-made chimes, which date to the early 1970s, are mounted on a crushed velvet board. Minimum bid: $495.
“The Wizard of Oz” soundtrack album from Decca, produced in 1939, features the musical score on four 78s, while the story plays out in the book portion with pictures and text in 22 frames. Minimum bid: $250.
On the memorabilia front is a sheet of uncut postcards produced for The Rolling Stones’ landmark double album Exile on Main St. The 36” x 21” unframed, uncut postcard sheet contains 12 different postcards of the band in a series of events. Minimum bid: $125.
Fans of Silver Screen era movies will appreciate a pair of lots highlighting stars of the 1930s. A selection of 36 National Screen Star Stamps released in 1932 by E.A.N. Co. features stars including Groucho Marx (two versions), Harpo Marx (two versions), Jean Harow, Carole Lombard, Tallulah Bankhead, Barbara Stanwick and Marlene Dietrich. Minimum bid: $150.
A group of 25 paper photos, which were released by the movie studios of the day, also spotlights 1930s actors. Featured stars include Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Roy Rogers, Mickey Rooney, Rita Hayworth, Bob Hope, Veronica Lake, Shirley Temple, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney. Minimum bid: $100.
