For the first time ever, the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich., is lifting the hoods on 50 of the most important classic cars in its historic collection.

During "Engines Exposed" you’ll get an up-close view of the engines that powered the automotive revolution. On display are the pristine inline 8 of the 1931 Duesenberg Model J, the horizontally opposed 6-cylinder of the 1960 Chevy Corvair and dozens of other technological advancements.

The special exhibit runs through Jan. 31, 2010.
